License Renewal & CEU Requirements

License Renewal CEU Requirements Alabama Electrical Continuing Education Required: Alabama Electrical Contractors and Provisional Electrical Contractors are required to obtain 14 continuing education hours during a 2 year period. At least 7 hours must cover the NEC/NFPA. CEU's are due every two years, on odd years.

PLEASE NOTE: Licensed Journeyman are currently NOT required to submit CE Hours to renew their license.

Alabama Electrical License Renewal: Your Alabama license(s) will renew on one of the following dates: March 30th, June 30th, September 30th, or December 30th, every odd year. Verify which date you renew on directly with the board. You can renew your license on the Board website.

The below list of approved courses meet the requirement of Alabama Board of Electrical Contractors for the shown contact hours of continuing education credit. These courses are not provided by the board.
