Continuing Education FAQ
Before Purchasing Online Courses
You can find a list of approved courses by state here. Click on your state on the map or choose from the drop down menu and your will find the courses listed along with important information at the top regarding your CEU requirements.
If you have multiple state licenses, Click Here to get a customized course quote emailed to you or contact our office directly at 888-632-2633 to get set up with the best courses that meet all your state requirements.
Please check directly with your State to see if they reciprocate continuing education with another State for which you have CE requirements. State board information can be found by following this link: State Board Information.
You will receive a downloadable certificate for every course you complete for each state license that has approved this course. The licenses must be added to your online account for each state that you wish to receive a CE certificate for.
Our courses are interactive; as you work through your course there will be page questions to test your knowledge. Some courses also include a short quiz at the end to review your material. The introduction screen in each course describes the format for that course.
We have an excellent passing rate for our programs! You need a final score of 75% which is calculated by the average score of all the questions in the course.
You are given two attempts at each question and quiz in the course. If you do not pass, please contact our office at 888-632-2633 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will go over your options to retake the course.

No, you don't need to download any software. You can access your online course directly from our site anytime on any computer/device that have a strong internet connection and that supports Adobe Flash.
Our courses automatically save your progress every 5 minutes. If your internet goes down your progress is saved.
The majority of our courses do not require you to purchase an additional textbook. The content that you are tested on is provided throughout the course; however, we recommend you use the corresponding NEC� when working through a Code course.
Our courses are designed to be completed at your own pace. You can save your progress and log-out at any time. When you return to the course you will be directed to the last page you completed.
Each course is designed to take as many hours as you are earning CE credit. Certain states require a timer that tracks the amount of time spent in the course and will not allow you to complete the course until you have met the minimum state requirement of hours logged. At the end of the course, if you haven't met the time requirement, you will be prompted to continue in the course for a X amount of minutes, please take this time to review the course until the time reaches 0.
Ohio requires facial recognition software to verify your identity and it is the only way to earn CEU credit for online courses for this state license. Once you log into your course, you will be prompted to allow access to your camera. The system will take your picture throughout the course and validate it through the secure software.
A computer or mobile device that has a camera. If your computer doesn't have a camera, you will need to install a webcam to use the course or find a device that has a camera.
Already Purchased Online Courses
Once you purchase a course, you are required to activate it before you can begin. You can activate your new course 2 ways:
- You will receive an email from us with a link to activate your course.
- Or Go to www.mikeholt.com/classroom.php and click on "New Course Activation". Have your order number and billing zip code ready, which is found on your receipt or invoice email.
You will then be asked to provide your information including:
- First Name, Last name, Email address, and Zip Code. After you activate your course, you can log in anytime using your email address and zip code. Login here: www.mikeholt.com/classroom.php
You can log in to your course 24/7 on any computer/device that has a strong internet connection and that supports Adobe Flash. Your login information is your email address and zip code when provided during course activation. Click Here to login.
- If the course you recently purchased is not showing in your classroom, you may need to activate the new course. Check for the Activation email in your inbox or spam folder. If you didn't get the email, click here and click "New Course Activation".
- If you activated your course already and it's not showing up, please verify that you are entering the email address and zip code that was provided during the time of purchase and activation. (Do not enter spaces before or after the email address.)
- If your course is not loading or will only load a certain %, your internet connection is not strong enough for you to connect to our courses. In this case, simply exit the course and try again when you have a better internet connection.

Once you've completed the course, your certificate(s) will be available immediately to download from your online classroom account under completed courses.

Most States require individuals to file their hours directly with the State by submitting the CE certificate directly to their board.
The following states require us to submit your CE credits electronically:

We submit CE credits every Thursday after 11am EST. If you are facing an emergency situation where you are in danger of having your license lapse, please contact our office at 888.632.2633 to expedite the filing process.
Please note: Some states require you to submit a copy of your certificate in addition to us submitting your credits electronically. We recommend that you check with your state boards to determine if this applies to you or not. State board information can be found by following this link: State Board Information.

Click the drop down arrow next to �Completed Courses�. Here you should see the online courses you have completed with Mike Holt Enterprises. You can log into these courses and review the content and questions as long as you need.
DVD Homestudy Programs and Live Seminars
If your state has approved a DVD/Homestudy course, click here and choose your state on the Map.
You will receive a textbook, a corresponding DVD, and an exam. Your exam has multiple choice questions that can be answered by reading the textbook and watching the DVD. You will enter your answers on the blank bubble sheet provided with your exam packet. You can send the exam to our office 3 ways:

We will grade the exam and email you a CE certificate within 1 business day of receiving your exam. If you don't have an email address, arrangements will be made to mail your certificates to you.
