Ground-Fault Protection Standards

Newsletter Retraction

On December 26, 2007 we sent out a newsletter titled: “OSHA Standard Interpretations Ground-fault protection standards when extension cords are plugged into permanent wiring at construction sites”.

The memo included in this newsletter was dated July 25, 1984. It is our goal to provide you with current industry news and because the information in this newsletter is so out of date we felt it necessary to issue this retraction and to delete this newsletter from our archives.

We apologize for the dated information.

Sincerely,

The Mike Holt Team

  • The referenced OSHA interpretation of the Construction Industry Standard remains on www.osha.gov (http://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=INTERPRETATIONS&p_id=19208), but has been corrected as of May 28, 2004. The version on OSHA's web site thus remains the agency's interpretation of 29 CFR 1926.405(b)(1).
