I live in the US Virgin Islands and recently I had addressed a problem with the local utility. We install our meter/main near the utlity pole thus sinking a ground rod adjacent to utlity pole. The were two other residences near the same point. The problem occured when the utilties primary line (neutral) correded. The utility pole has a grounding conductor mounted on the pole. Guess what happened. Problems in every home where the grounding electrode conductor was near the utility pole. Lenny Farrante
