ESFi (Electrical Safety Foundation International) has a new GFCI awareness resource. This is great information for every electrician to have and to pass on to their customers.

The article, posted on the EFSi website, has statistics on the drop in electrocutions due to the introduction of GFCIs in homes. It also emphases the importance of inspecting homes regularly, and bringing homes up to code, especially if built before 1976. In addition, the web page has downloadable resources for educating consumers about the importance of GFCIs in preventing electric shock and electrocution.
