Let's stop the deaths!

Too many people (most of them children) are getting killed in swimming pools. Having laws and Code rules is important, but if they are not respected and followed, they will not keep your pool safe. The answer lies in understanding and knowing how to recognize and fix the hazardous wiring errors and ground faults that exist in older pools, and even in newer installations.

Mike is committed to electrical safety, and has set up a dedicated web page to give you all the information you need to help you understand pool safety. After reading all the stories we reported recently about the accidents and deaths attributed to energized swimming pool water he immediately set out to make a video to teach electricians how to test swimming pools for safety.

It's really important that you understand the fundamentals of electrical safety, stray voltage and Article 680.26 of the NEC, so be sure to watch the videos in the order listed.
