  • I am also a firefighter and paramedic. I have seen more death and dismemberment because of texting and other distractions. One of my EMS partners lost his job because he was texting and driving while a pt and myself were in the back of the truck. Even though there were no injuries and minor damage incurred he was dismissed. I can't imagine any text being worth your life or even your job! Thanks for the forum Mike!
