He was the subject of our April Fool’s newsletter but in reality Nikola Tesla is better known as The Genius Who Lit The World. He was a true visionary far ahead of his contemporaries in the field of scientific development. Born in Lika [then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a region of Croatia], he was the son of a Serbian Orthodox Priest, his mother an inventor in her own right, of household appliances. The Tesla Memorial Society of New York biography lists his greatest achievement as his polyphase alternating current system, which is today lighting the entire globe – electricity today is generated, transmitted and converted to mechanical power by means of his inventions.

But did you know?

He lived his final ten years at the Hotel New Yorker in relative obscurity with little means.
He spent time every day in Bryant Park in the company of his beloved pigeons.
Upon his passing, the US government's Alien Property Custodian office took immediate possession of his papers and property, despite his US citizenship. His papers were declared “Top Secret” and their contents remain a mystery until this day.

This document Nikola Tesla and the New Yorker Hotel, provided to us by Joseph Kinney, Senior project Engineer at the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, gives us an up-close and personal look into “one of the more idiosyncratic guests ever to stay at the Hotel New Yorker”.

Mike Holt took up Joe Kinney’s offer and made reservations to stay in Nikola Tesla’s hotel room from August 28th until September 1st!

True About Nikola Tesla he did open the eyes of the other great ones although credit has to be given to all other great men Some humans Come with that special talent and Gift from God which makes people reconfirm we live in a unique planet. can 2 persons be exactly the same no each one may be unique in his way.
