  • I'm not aware of any 'requirement' that TIA licensing or certification is required or that TIA standard must be complied with and that it's enforced (by whom?).

    It is my experience that compliance with Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards is enforced at the contract level. I suppose it is possible for a municipality to overreach and require installations comply with TIA. However, non-compliance does not rise to the level of a safety concern as is addressed by the NEC. TIA compliance is a good thing, but falling short of TIA compliance generally means that performance is compromised, not hazards are created.
