TurboBid Estimating Software Demo

imageIn September we sent out a newsletter announcing a new electrical estimating software program called TurboBid.

Bill Ruffner, TurboBid’s creator, recently sent us a brief demo of TurboBid that I would like to share with you. Demos can have a tendency to be rather dry and boring but I must admit that I rather enjoyed this one. It’s fun, light hearted and has a great soundtrack. The demo is designed to give you a feel for how simple it is to complete an estimate using TurboBid. Click here or on the image to view the demo.

All electrical contractors need the power to create accurate and consistently profitable estimates while giving their company a professional image. However, residential contractors have their own unique needs.TurboBid’s residential style bid package includes formal proposals, contract pricing, quantity take-offs, material kits, option pricing and value engineering. TurboBid’s database includes over 5,000 residential assemblies with labor units that are automatically adjusted based on the dwellings construction. Material prices can be updated and kept current with the click of a button.

If you have any questions regarding TurboBid, please contact Bill Ruffner at BillR@TurboBid.net or visit their website at www.TurboBid.net.

  • 695.4(B) When a customer has fire pump circuit that has a fused disconnect that is remote from other electrical sysytems, should be capable to carry lock rotor ampacity of the motor indefinitely. Question; Since this now becomes a feeder, should we utilize 250.122 table and size the grounding conductor full size to the OCD? As an example, a 50 Hp. fire pump motor being protected by a 1600 ampere breaker. The grounding conductor would be based on 250.122 (full size) of the 1600 amps. and be sized as 4/0 copper or 350 MCM Al. Is this your thoughts as well?
