  • Power factor and residential electric bills: Does improving (correcting) power factor in a 120/240-volt residential service result in lowering the monthly bill? Does the utility meter measure KVA or KW (real or apparent work)?

  • Answers to the following questions please - will be appreciated: 1) In confined space work why are lighting circuits seperate from circuits used for tools/equipment? 2) In confined space work are all electrical tools/equipment including lighting required to be low voltage (25 volts or less)? 3) When using tools in confined space work should the user insulate himself from ground paths? 4) In confined space work are double insultated tools prefered over appliances with a grounding conductor?

  • What is the technical operating difference between an ELCB (earth leakage circuit breaker) and a GFCI (ground fault circiut interupter). ELCB's are commonly used in Europe and Middle east.
