It always concerned me that several times that I placed an amprobe on house copper water service & steel gas supply pipe. Even with meter pulled would usually measure up to 0.25 Amos on copper water service and up to 0.12 amps on gas service We all know that electricity takes the least resistance path but also multi paths. Before a few homes in my block were ten years old the underground steel gas pipe were leaking. When I piped in my replacement natural gas furnace instructions stated to use a dielectric union on the algae pipe. My local plumbing supply did not have any 3/4 or 1" dielectric unions so reused the original union. Did replace the old 14/2 AC cable with 12/2 MC cable. Ran a bonding jumper on trunk duct that had a coated canvas sound isolation joint.
