2023 Code Video - 210.8

Keeping up with the requirements of the Code should be the goal of everyone involved in electrical safety. The following is what I feel is an important rule in the 2023 NEC®, complete with graphics and a video. I encourage you to use it as a training resource for your organization, and share it with your colleagues.

Do you think the inclusion of acronyms in the NEC improves usability?

The 2023 NEC introduces a notable change to include the use of acronyms for clarity and efficiency. For instance, a ground-fault circuit interrupter can now be referred to by its acronym, "GFCI". But did you know there are different types of GFCI devices? If you saw the term SPGFCI in the Code, would you know what type of device it refers to?
