2023 Code Video - 690.1

Keeping up with the requirements of the Code should be the goal of everyone involved in electrical safety. The following is what I feel is an important rule in the 2023 NEC®, complete with graphics and a video. I encourage you to use it as a training resource for your organization, and share it with your colleagues.

Article 690 in the National Electrical Code covers the requirements for Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems. These requirements are organized into six parts that are a perfect example of how some of the rules in NEC Chapters 1-4 can be modified by other sections of the Code.

The use of PV systems either as interactive or standalone system has increased as the technology of PV equipment has evolved and its availability has improved.

Learn more about what’s covered in Article 690 by reading the text and watching the video where Mike and a team of experts discuss the scope of this article in section 690.1 of the NEC.
