One of those hazards is electrical fires caused by loose conductor terminations to electrical equipment.

Take a moment to watch as Mike and a panel of Industry experts discuss the effect a loose electrical termination can have and what you can do about it. For the video click here or on Mike's image.

Be sure to download and follow the PDF exerpt from the textbook as you watch the video.

  • Thank you guys first of all for your work and the information you share with us . When I was a service electrician , I was called out to home where an outside outlet was arcing and it was affecting the living room lights and outlets . When I arrived it was still arcing , I pulled the W/P cover off and it burst into flames . So at that point I had the home owner turn the circuit off . But I never expected that to happen . After making the proper repairs checked amperage and it was pulling about 15 amps . So that loose connection caused enough heat for it to combust when it got enough air .
