I work for a large manufacturing facility in Massachusetts and we self-perform small electrical projects using our in-house licensed electricians. Our larger projects are executed using outside electrical contractors. We have been told that a Master Electrician will be required to pull the electrical permit for the self-performed projects. Does anyone know if this is actually required for projects within a large manufacturing facility? I always thought that any company that is not in the business of doing electrical work for a profit would be allowed to have any one of their Journeyman Electricians pull a permit as long as that person was in charge of the project? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks W. Ekstrom July 25 2019, 2:36 pm EDT Reply to this comment |
