Not enough can be said about working safe. Young workers are particularly vulnerable, and for Curtis it was also his third day on the job, and he didn’t feel comfortable asking questions. He tell us
“If you feel uncomfortable doing something, or you don’t feel safe doing something, or you don’t feel properly trained, make sure that you take the opportunity to bring it up with somebody and voice that concern.”
“Some mistakes are bigger than others, and some mistakes, they just can’t be undone” says Curtis’ friend Noel Kingwell. “If it feels wrong, it probably is wrong. When you’re in situations that just don’t feel right, there’s nothing wrong with maybe questioning it. Not asking the question oftentimes when it comes to safety, is what is really the stupid thing.”
