Not Dead, Can’t Quit

ImageMike Holt Comment: I recently received this email from my friend Skip Wolfford about about a mantra called NDCQ – Not Dead Can’t Quit. I think we can all take something away from this. We’ve all had our trying times and it’s through these trying times that we can either choose to give up or keep going. I hope you will choose to keep reaching for your goals and never quit…thanks Skip for reminding me…

Mike,

I just received your Business Management Skills Workbook and DVD and I just finished watching your opening statements.  In addition to this; my son just introduced me to Richard Machowicz and his website NDCQ-Not Dead Can’t Quit (He’s the host and producer of Discovery Channel’s “Future Weapons”).  Listening to your testimony about your trying times in 1991 and listening to him talking about focus and commitment…it’s been quite a motivating day…a day when I really needed it.  LOL, I did billing today and as you can imagine, it’s tough but hearing from people like you and Mr. Machowicz keeps you going.

It makes you realize that God is putting you through the fire because that’s the only way to temper steel.  You realize that you are not alone and that with Faith, focus and a commitment to never quit; that you can only be beaten if you stop trying or you die.  When times are tough; you have to take one more step.

I suddenly realized what makes a Navy SEAL.  It’s not physical talent…it’s a commitment to a cause and a refusal to quit.  The refusal to let ANYTHING get in the way of the MISSION!  These same traits are so important to today’s business environment in construction.

As you know, being a business owner/executive is not always wine and roses.  This was brought back into laser focus for me today by you guys.  I hope you’ll check out his web page.  I know you’re busy but I think it will really strike a chord.

Thanks,

Skip Wolfford

  • Wow! That was an uplifting reminder to any of us going through these challenging times to keep on moving forward and don't give up. Thanks Mike for always being an inspiration to seasoned electricians or novice ones (such as myself). Ultimately, we give thanks to our GOD for always making a way when our own eyes see none. God bless you and your family. Ms. Bora
