  • TWO POT BANK WITH UNBALANCE VOLTAGE SERVING TWO 3 - PH MOTORS (SEE WESTINGHOUSE TRANSFORMER CONNECTION BOOK FOR THE THERORY). IF THE TWO TRANSFORMERS ARE PROPERLY SIZED TO SERVE THE LOAD, ALWAYS CONNECT THE PRIMARY OF THE LIGHTING POT (POT WITH THE SINGLE PHASE LOADS) ON THE LEADING PHASE OF THE V-PHASE PRIMARY SYSTEM. THIS OPEN Y PRIMARY- OPEN DELTA 120/240 VOLT, 3 PH, 4-W DELTA SYSTEM WILL ALWAYS IMPROVE THE BALANCE OF THE THREE PHASE VOLTAGES. ASSUMING THE BANK IS SIZED PROPERLY, THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PROCEEDURE TO PERFORM AND CHECK FOR VOTAGE BALANCE AND LOWER LINE CURRENTS TO THE MOTOR BEFORE UPSIZING THE TRANSFORMERS OR EXTENDING THE 3-PH SYSTEM TO THE CUSTOMER.
