Description We are a technical college with a strong work ethic and good reputation for job placement. Our electrical technology program offers courses for residential, commercial, industrial and maintenance electricians. As an option, our two-year program offers an associate degree in applied science. During the last part of the program we prepare our students to take the journeyman license exam.

Description Coffeyville Community College's Electrical curriculum is aligned with the state of Kansas and we take pride in training Electricians/Electrical Technicians for the work force. First semester covers OSHA 30 hour certification, Electrical Theory, Residential Wiring, National Electric code 1 & 2 and HVAC for Electricians.
Second Semester covers Commercial Wiring, Electric Motor Controls, Electronics for Electricians, Programmable Logic Controllers and Print Reading. The students attend class for 7 hours a day M-F and spend 1/2 day in the classroom and 1/2 day in the lab.
The CCC Electrical Program is 9 months in length resulting in a Certification of Completion. Students may take an additional 18 Credit hours of general education courses to complete the Associate of Applied Science Degree. Description Johnson County Community College offers a 64-credit-hour associate of applied science degree program and a 28-credit-hour vocational certificate program. Both programs emphasize hands-on training integrated with a knowledge of theory and study of the National Electrical Code that prepares students to take a national licensure exam.
The associate of applied science degree program prepares students to enter the electrical trade in four types of electrical occupations: residential, commercial, industrial and maintenance. The program also prepares students for continued education in electrical contracting/management, electrical design and industrial/electronic controls.
Department Description
The Electrical Technology program offers training to students wanting to enter this field and to employees wanting to update their skills.
