  • What is the NEC official minimum ground resistance value for a Substation Grounding, say, at 44kV, if the Substation Voltage is required to be taken into considerations, otherwise, if not, what is the minimum Grounding Resistance value for all high Voltage Substations Grounding?

    Thanks.

  • Today, June 2, 2010, I posted a question on Substation Grounding. I asked what is the minumum Grounding Resistance value for a 44kV, 1000A, Grounding Grid. I should have said -'what is the maximum, not minimum, Grounding Value for a Substation Grounding Grid.

In Canada as per the CSA or the Electrical Code, it is 25 ohms for power supplies grounding gird, but I am not sure for High Voltage Substations and as per the NEC (American Code). If someone knows the answer, please post it. Thanks.
