Electrical Software – Free

Powersoft Engineering would like to offer some electrical software to you free of charge to help your business become more productive in this troubled economy. They are looking for volunteers to help provide feedback with bugs before its publication and provide valuable input and comments.  Their concept has been in the works for more than ten years and they are presenting something they feel everyone will be able to use effectively. There is still more work to do before it is finalized, but they would like to start getting some input as soon as possible.

This program is called Electrical Panel Schedule 2009 Lite.  EPS will build panel schedules, size conductors, conduit, voltage drops, circuiting wizard (to aid electricians), and much more.  It is very open ended so you can do just about anything for sizing panels from 120V/30A load center to 3P/480V/6000A 168 circuit panels.  Parallel runs will be calculated based on NEC requirements, but can be changed.

EPS has ability to copy or move circuits from one pole to another by using drag and drop.  It will allow you to fill out a panel schedule in less than 2 minutes with all wire sizes and voltage drops and keep a running total on loads.

  • I emailed the forum to sign up, but got an auto responder email back that basically said "We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited, and/or bulk e-mail"

Maybe the sign up feature still has bugs to work out.
