  • ARE ALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS TO HAVE UL APPROVAL? I AM FINDING THAT THERE ARE WP ENCLUSURES AND PRECAST CONCRETE LIGHT POLE BASES THAT SALES PEOPLE ARE ADVERTISING THAT HAVE NO UL LABEL OR APPROVAL. THE SALES PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE NOT NEEDED. HOWEVER I SPOKE TO SOME LOCAL INSPECTORS WHO SAY THAT ALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS ARE TO HAVE UL APPROVAL. CAN I USE THE NON UL APPROVED ITEMS?

  • 1.HVAC CAV control box with ETL listed stamp is same as UL LISTED, in quality and the tests carried out on the product? 2.Stamp on the above box ETL listed, does it mean all components inside the box are also tested by ETL. and all components will be listed in the report. 3 UL listed similar item will bear stamp on each componects or only on the box and test report will indicate what are the items in the box when it was tested.
