Thank You, Mike for giving this inspirational story some attention in your forum. It brought me to tears as well - mostly because I am a father of a very bright and promising HS Senior who has declared he wants to pursue Bio Medical Engineering and hopes someday to help create advanced cybernetic limbs to help wounded soldiers and others to have an improved quality of life and facilitate more natural movement. I have always tried to instill a thirst for knowledge and a desire to teach himself as much as possible about our human experience and extend himself to others. He is a devoted Catholic, and very involved with his church - and I have tried to keep his mind open to the wonders of Natural and Quantum Science. As a result, he has a great mind and a bigger heart. He makes me so proud and we WILL be going to see this movie!

While members of the electrical construction trade are not expected to have background in contemporary cosmology, it is disappointing that a supposed trade professional cannot extend their self to self-educate and deepen one's understanding of existence. Hawkins has neither disallowed or supported a deity. He has, in fact, offered some math that specifically pointed to a Supreme Being; and has clearly stated the uncertainty of human knowledge.
