 A Wife’s Perspective

 Image

Cindy Carlson tells the story of her life with her husband Dennis while he studied for his electrical exam. Theirs is a story of inspiration for those of you who may find yourself in similar situations as you follow your vision and go forward in the electrical trade. Hard work and perseverance does pay off even though it may be hard to see the big picture at times.

  • Dear Mike; Please thank Cindy and mike for sharing their video. And you also for sharing it with us.I am now studying for my state test ,have 3 teenagers and a wife at home.My wife works the night shift.Everyone in the house turns the tv off or leaves the room ,I study in the dining room, best spot in my house .They don't disturb me ,I never asked them once to accomodate me .But they know this is important to me.Just the fact that i am now the one opening the book and studying they realize how important this is to me.

  • Many of us who got our education while working have somewhat similar stories. When I finally got my EE degree after 8 years of night school while working days and raising a family, during the commencement ceremonies the school also gave the wives a "PHTC" degree - Pushing Hubby Through College. The school was well aware of what the wives and kids had to put up with while the Dads and Husbands were working on their education on most nights and during many weekends. It takes an understanding family.
